say which of the two Lam's was the compradore.
He admitted he was badly scared when
giving his statement to the Consul and that his one idea was to clear himself of the suspicion that he was in anyway connected with the smuggling. In my opinion it may be safely assumed that the compradore, his brother, and the two supercargoes were the persons
actually concerned on board but his information as regards
the persons at 81 Bonham Strand West is I think too
vague to be of any use.
